2024 National Common Entrance Exam Results Released, highest score 203

The results of the 2024 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) for admissions into Federal Unity Colleges have been released.

Minister of State for Education, Dr. Yusuf Sununu, announced the results at a news conference yesterday, revealing that the highest score was 203. He emphasized that the selection criteria for admission into Federal Unity Colleges remain unchanged, with requirements being 60 percent merit, 30 percent equality of state, and 10 percent exigency.

Out of the 71,291 candidates who registered for the exam, 66,931 sat for it, while 4,360 were absent. The examination, held on June 1, took place in 599 centers nationwide. According to the National Examination Council (NECO), Lagos State had the highest number of candidates (17,751), followed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with 10,209 candidates, and Anambra State with 4,972 candidates.

Dr. Sununu added, “Of the maximum obtainable score of 210, one candidate achieved the highest score of 203, while 13 candidates obtained the lowest score of one. This year, an unprecedented 52 candidates (two from Lagos and 50 from Rivers State) were involved in examination malpractice.”

Regarding the examination for the Federal Government Academy (FGA), 2,649 candidates registered, 2,336 candidates sat for the exam, and 313 candidates were absent. The highest score in this examination was 180, while the lowest was five.
