Edo Postpones School Resumption Due to Fuel Price Hike

Edo State Government Postpones School Resumption Indefinitely Due to Fuel Price Hike

The Edo State Government has indefinitely postponed the resumption of all schools in the state due to the recent hike in fuel prices. This decision was communicated in a memo issued by Ojo Akin-Longe, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, in Benin on Saturday.

The resumption, initially set for September 9, has been delayed until further notice. According to the statement, the postponement is in response to the growing tension and difficulties faced by parents and guardians due to the fuel price increase.

The government also urged parents and guardians to closely monitor their children’s activities during this period of uncertainty.
