The Institute of Entrepreneurship and Apprenticeship Management and Administration (IEAMA) has been officially introduced to the Nigerian public, marking a bold step toward institutionalizing entrepreneurship education and structured apprenticeship systems across the country.

Registered under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020 as a Company Limited by Guarantee with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), IEAMA is designed as a professional, non-profit body committed to capacity building, enterprise development, and human capital advancement.

A New Dawn for Skill and Enterprise Development

Speaking at the official media unveiling, Dr. Jerry E. Ibeh, the Director-General of IEAMA, emphasized the Institute’s unique vision:

“IEAMA was born out of a national need to institutionalize entrepreneurship and apprenticeship as structured and respected career pathways,” said Dr. Ibeh. “Our goal is to nurture a new class of skilled entrepreneurs, equipped not only with ideas but also the managerial tools, mentorship, and networks needed to scale.”

IEAMA will offer membership across various levels—Student, Associate, Member, Fellow, and Corporate Partner—providing access to certification programs, training resources, business mentorship, and industry-relevant research.

Strategic Objectives of IEAMA

  • Promote Entrepreneurship and Apprenticeship as credible career paths
  • Certify Skills and Competence through structured training
  • Collaborate with the Government and the Private Sector to advocate for policies that support skills development
  • Host National Summits, Workshops, and Policy Dialogues
  • Support Youth Empowerment and SME Growth

The launch of IEAMA aligns with Nigeria’s urgent need to close the gap between academia and industry, foster job creation, and strengthen the nation’s informal sector.
