JAMB Extends Registration Deadline, Announce New UTME Exam Date.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board have announced the extension of the deadline date for the ongoing 2021 UTME/DE registration exercise by two weeks.
The JAMB Registrar, Ishaq Oloyede made the announcement, after a meeting with stakeholders, which was prompted by a complaint of delay in the registration process among candidates for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
Oloyede further confirmed that the exam will now commence on the 19th of June 2021 and end on the 3rd of July, while the registration exercise will now end on May 29.
This latest development is coming on the ‘back heels’ of the exam body contemplating an extension to the registration exercise and change of date for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
It would be recalled that the ongoing UTME registration had suffered some technical hitches, as a result of the integration of the National Identification Number (NIN), which JAMB had said will be a pre-requisite for registration.
