University of Port Harcourt Denies Ongoing Recruitment, Warns Against Fraudulent Claims
The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has denied claims circulating in the media regarding ongoing recruitment at the institution. In a statement released on Monday by the university’s spokesperson, Dr. Sam Kpenu, the university dismissed reports suggesting that it is hiring teaching and non-teaching staff, labeling them as misleading and fraudulent.
Kpenu emphasized that no such recruitment announcement has been made, urging the public to disregard these false reports. He clarified that any official recruitment by the university would be advertised through proper media channels, including the university’s official website, not social media.
“The University of Port Harcourt will officially announce any recruitment opportunities through mainstream media channels and on its official website, www.uniport.edu.ng, should there be a need for employment in the future, ” the statement added.
