JAMB Clarifies Role in NYSC Mobilization for ND Part-Time and HND Graduates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued an important clarification regarding its role in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilization process for graduates of National Diploma (ND) Part-Time and Higher National Diploma (HND) Full-Time programmes.
In a statement released via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, @JAMBHQ, on November 6, 2025, the examination body stated that it has no involvement in any delays or obstructions affecting the NYSC mobilization of graduates in these categories.
According to JAMB, the Board does not conduct admissions into HND programmes, and as such, cannot be held responsible for any challenges arising during the NYSC mobilization process. It further clarified that while it oversees admissions into full-time ND programmes, it does not manage admissions for ND Part-Time students.
The statement reads:
“Attention, ND Part-Time and HND Full-Time graduates! Please be aware that JAMB plays no role in stalling your NYSC mobilisation. For the record, JAMB has no hand in admissions into HND programmes and for your Part-Time ND programme…”
The Board reiterated its commitment to transparency in the admission process and urged institutions and graduates to direct NYSC-related concerns to the appropriate authorities, noting that its role is strictly limited to admissions into full-time tertiary programmes.
