2021 WASSCE: KINGS COLLEGE STUDENT EMERGES OVERALL BEST

A student of Kings College in Lagos State, Akinyemi Oluwafemi has emerged the best student in the 2021 West African Senior School Certificate Examination in Nigeria.

Akinyemi Oluwafemi, according to his school had nine distinctions in the examination, he wrote and scored A1 in the following subjects: Data processing, Economics, Mathematics, English language, Civil Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Computer studies.

The Head of the Nigeria National Office of the Council, Patrick Areghan, had in a statement, said the percentage of candidates who obtained credit and above in a minimum of five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics was 65.24%.

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) had on November 22nd, released the results for this year West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) held in may/June 2021.

It would be recalled that 17-year-old Victory Yinka-Banjo, a former student of Princeton College, Aguda, Lagos,  emerged as the best overall candidate in the 2020 May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), with 9 A1s in Civic Education, English Language, General Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Studies and Catering Craft Practice.
