Ajayi Crowther University (ACU) has expelled several students following a fight that resulted in the death of a fellow student. The announcement was made by the university’s management on Saturday.

Contrary to circulating rumors, the university clarified that cultism does not exist on its campus. ACU reiterated its strict zero-tolerance policy towards any form of anti-social behavior and misconduct. The expelled students, it emphasized, were not affiliated with any cult group.

Sources indicate that the incident was sparked by allegations that the deceased student had stolen a mobile phone. Instead of reporting the matter to university authorities, the expelled students took matters into their own hands, leading to the tragic outcome.

In addition to expelling the involved students, ACU has handed them over to the Oyo State Police Command for further investigation. The university assured that justice would be pursued diligently.

“The University remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring a safe, conducive, peaceful, and godly atmosphere for learning,” the management stated.

This incident underscores the university’s dedication to maintaining a secure and supportive educational environment for all its students.
