No School Resumption Yet in Anambra
The secretary of State for the Federation (SSG) Boss Mustapha has denied rumour suggesting that primary and secondary schools in Anambra state are set to open on Monday 4th of May.
Mustapha who was speaking today, during the Presidential Tax Force daily briefing in Abuja said “they did not say that schools will resume, no, teachers will report as other civil servant are reporting, but student will remain at home and outline themselves towards the e-learning process”.
He also added “if we do that in most places we will be able to get a better understanding of the situation and move forward”.
This clarification by the SSG became imminent as a result of an unconfirmed report credited to the government of Anambra State giving the go ahead for schools in the State to resume as the federal government begin to ease the lockdown by Monday.
The coronavirus has currently ravage 36 states in Nigeria, including the FCT.
This has forced the federal government to shutdown all schools in the country as a measure to curtail the spread.
