Ondo State Releases COVID-19 Guidelines for JSS3 Students

The Chairman of Ondo State Inter-ministerial Committee on COVID-19, Prof. Adesegun Fatusi, during a briefing on COVID-19,  Wednesday, revealed the guidelines for the resumption of Junior Secondary School 3 (JSS3) students the state.

Fatusi disclosed that the JSS3 students would resume based on a prepared schedule, while the date for other classes would be made known later.

He added that schools will prepare with provisions that meet with public health guidelines against COVID-19, while relevant government agencies and teams will monitor the preparations between September 7, and September 13, 2020.

“From September 14 till September 18, there will be revision for the JSS3 students, while their examinations will hold September 19, till October 4.

“The reopening of schools is carefully considered, and definite date will be announced at an appropriate date, based on the state of infection, reflections on national and global experiences, and due consultation with the government.

Recall that the Government of Lagos state announced that all tertiary institutions in the state will be reopen on September 14, while primary and secondary school resumption was tentatively fixed for September 21.

However, the Ogun State Government announced September 21 for the reopening of schools in the state for the first term of 2020/2021 session.
