Prior to now, The Federal University of Technology Owerri, FUTO ASUU have taken it upon themselves to stop Practicals as well as Academic Activities in school.
Despite the stoppage of all Academic Activities, Some Departments are still holding Practical.
Students laments and rejoice over the invasion of Practical hall by ASUU officials.
In a brief conversation with a student who happens to be a witness;
“We were scheduled to have Practical today, which we all attended, few minutes after the Practical has started, some members of the ASUU body came into the lab and chased us out, they locked the lab saying; No form of academic activity should hold till the 2 weeks is over”
Meanwhile, some Students are happy with the action taken by ASUU and some are not pleased with the new development.
Up till now practicals are still on going for some departments.
