Bauchi State Official Offers Scholarship to Outstanding JAMB Candidate

Musa Azare, the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Katagum LGA in Bauchi state, has pledged to cover the educational expenses of Abdullahi Aliyu Garba, a standout performer in the recent JAMB examination, scoring a remarkable total of 347 marks.
Expressing his delight, Azare emphasized the pride felt by the local government area, the state, and the nation as a whole, owing to Garba’s exceptional achievement.
Recalling the sequence of events leading to his decision, Azare recounted coming across Garba’s name on social media and recognizing his connection to the area. Subsequently, arrangements were made to bring Garba to Azare’s office for a discussion.
During their meeting, Azare committed to sponsoring Garba’s education for four years upon his admission to the University. Garba has chosen to pursue Software Engineering at Bayero University, Kano (BUK), with school fees amounting to approximately N500,000.
Azare commended Garba’s dedication, noting his relentless study efforts, even sacrificing sleep to excel in his exams. He urged students across Katagum LGA and Bauchi state to emulate Garba’s work ethic, emphasizing the correlation between hard work and success.
Garba’s father, Aliyu Garba, expressed gratitude for Azare’s generosity, acknowledging the significant impact it will have on his son’s future. He called on other leaders to follow Azare’s example in supporting education for all children.
