Confusion Trails NECO Missed Exams, As Candidates Fate Remain Unknown
The National Examination Council (NECO) has said that it was not aware that students in some schools missed a few subjects as a result of #EndSARS protests.
The exam body, however, noted that the affected schools in Lagos and other states did not notify them of the development, but promised that there will be an announcement of the subjects.
dates had been fixed for the subjects.
The Head of Public Relations Division, NECO, Azeez Sani, while reacting to the issue, insist that the body was not aware of the development.
“It is the responsibility of such schools to get in touch without state offices. They have to lay a formal complaint. There is nothing like that here in the North. There are papers we rescheduled on our own when we realized there was tension all over; and they were captured in the new timetable. The exam ought to have been completed by now but we extended it till November 28,” he said.
In the same vein, the Lagos State officer, NECO, Saad Ibrahim, said, “There will soon be an announcement on it from the headquarters. There are a lot of things being done to take care of the development. You will get an official statement soon.
