COVID-19: Lagos State Commissioner for Education to Oversee School Resumption.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo is set to visit schools in some parts of Lagos on Monday to monitor resumption and to ensure that schools comply with the COVID-19 protocols and guidelines.

In a statement made by the Director of Public Affairs, Lagos State Ministry of Education, Mr. Kayode Abayomi, the commissioner plans to visit schools in Agege, Igando, Surulere, and Ikeja.

Abayomi said “In a bid to monitor schools resumption and the COVID-19 protocol guidelines compliance, Honourable Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo will be visiting some schools around Agege Axis of the State as early as 7.30 am tomorrow. Places like Surulere, Ikeja, Agege, and Igando will be covered”

Recall, that there was a debate on whether the school will resume on Monday as scheduled or not as the FG reviews the resumption date due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, the Federal Government has given the go-ahead for schools across the country to resume on January 18, 2021, despite the rising cases of the COVID-19 pandemic
