The newly appointment of the kwara State University (KWASU) vice chancellor Prof. Mohammed Mustapha Akanbi has been applauded by the Director-.General, National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) Prof. Abubakar Sulaimon(SAN).
According to a statement, Prof. Akanbi prior to his appointment was a sabbatical official and served as the Head of the Legal Research Division, Department of Legislative Support Services in the agency.
The Director General describe the new VC as a man with passion for hardwork who have a proven record for outstanding performance.
Prof. Sulaimon further expressed confidence that the newly appointed VC will not only make an impact in the university, but also the education sector.
In a letter signed by the Kwara State Commissioner for Tertiary Education Science and Technology, dated April 1, 2020, Prof. Akanbi is expected to resume as Vice chancellor of Kwara State University(KWASU) with immediate effect.
Kwara State university is the 95th university to be recognized in Nigeria.
