Ibadan Poly Senior Staff to Resume Work Today

The Polytechnic Ibadan has released a statement asking its academic and non-academic staff of the institution to resume work on Monday, August 24, 2020.

In a statement made available to news men by the Registrar, Mrs. Modupe Fawale, stated that all Deans, Heads of Academic Departments, all Non-Teaching staff on Grade levels 11 to 14, are to return to work today.

The statement further urged the affected staff to wear face masks, use sanitisers, regular hand washing and maintain social/physical distance measures in accordance to National Centre for Disease Control, Federal Ministries of Health and Education COVID-19 guidelines.

The statement reads: “Please be informed that all Deans, Heads of Academic Departments, all Non-Teaching staff on Grade levels 11-14, and those on essential duties are to resume back to work on Monday, 24 August, 2020 at 8.00am.

“This is to ensure that adequate preparations are put in place for the school reopening and attention given to some academic related issues on ground.

“Staff are enjoined to wear face masks, use sanitisers/wash hands regularly and maintain all social distance measures in accordance with NCDC, Federal Ministries of Health and Education regulations.

“Also note that others whom their services may be needed can be called anytime.”

As the Federal Government plans to reopen school, the Polytecnic Ibadan will be one of the first institution in Nigeria, to officially call its workers to resume work.
