WAEC Announces New Date for the Release of WASSCE Results

The West African Examination Council (WAEC),has disclosed that it has postponed to next week, the release of the result of the just concluded West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), due to the curfew imposed in some parts of the country.

This latest development was made known on the official twitter handle of WAEC on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, which indicated that the result will be released in the first week of November.

It tweeted, “WASSCE 2020 Results Release Date: Dear candidates, the Council had planned to release the results today in fulfillment of our project 45, but due to the curfew imposed last week, it had to be postponed till next week.”

It would be recalled that EDU CARE NEWS had reported that WAEC will release the results of the just concluded WASSCE within 45 days after the exams has ended.

The Head of Public Affairs (WAEC Nigeria), Demianus Ojijeogu, had disclosed to news men that the results will be available soon.

A total of 1,459,463 students sat for the exams in Nigeria.
