WAEC To Release 2020 WASSCE Results in 45 Days

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has revealed that the results of the just concluded West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) will be released within 45 days, after the exams ended.

WAEC of Nigeria, Head of Public affairs, Demianus Ojijeogu told reporters that the result will soon be available

“Certainly, we will work towards achieving this 45 days time lag target,” he stated.

Ojijeogu also said that the conduct of the examination was a huge success, while describing it as hitch free across the country.

It would be recalled that the Federal Government of Nigeria had reopen schools for exiting, Senior Secondary 3 students, to enable them participate in the WASSCE.

The examination had begun on August 4, 2020, and ended on Saturday, September 5, nationwide and in other four West African member countries of WAEC- Ghana, Liberia Sierraleone and Gambia.

In Nigeria, a total of 1,459,463 students sat for the examination.
