Jigawa State Government Orders Immediate Closure of Schools

The Jigawa State Government has ordered the immediate closure of public, private secondary, and primary schools across the state.

This was contained in a press statement released to news  and signed by the acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education Science and Technology, Alhaji Rabiu Adamu

He noted that the directive will take effect from Tuesday, 15th December 2020.

The statement, however, directed parents to evacuate their children back home from tomorrow, 16th December 2020.

Adamu also warned against violation of covid-19 protocols to prevent the spread of the virus, while adding that failure to comply with the directives would lead to enforcements of lockdown.

Recall that, in reaction to the attack and abduction of Government Science Secondary School, Kankara Katsina state, the government of Kaduna state, ordered the closure of boarding schools across the state, in  DAILY POST reported that they have recorded twenty-nine new cases of COVID-19 pandemic and has ordered for the reopening of isolation centers in the state.
