OOU to Announce School Reopening Soon

The Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, has informed its students to expect a formal announcement from the management as regard the day the institution will be reopen for academic session.

In a statement released on Monday, the Registrar of the institution, Femi Ogunwomoju, disclosed that all measures are being put in place to ensure a safe reopening of schools.

Ogunwoju stated that the management of the university is aware of the Governor Dapo Abiodun’s directive which stipulated that tertiary institutions in the Ogun should resume from September 21.

He however stated that, “parents, guardians and students are advised to be on the lookout for the formal announcement on resumption by the university.”

He further gave indication that necessary protocol are being taken to ensure safe reopening of OAU.

Recall that schools in Ogun state had been shutdown since March 2020, as a preventive measure taken by the Government to curtail the spread of the coronavirus disease.

The Governor of the state, Dapo Abiodun, however, ordered the reopening of education institutions across the state, starting from September 21.
