The West African Examination Council (WAEC), in another twist of event, has extended the registration for its 2020 West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination for private candidates.
WAEC on its tweeter handle stated that the new deadline date is Friday, November 13, 2020.
It reads: “WASSCE for private candidates, 2020-second series: Further extension of the registration period.
“Intending candidates should note that there has been a further extension of the registration period to Friday, November 13, 2020. Thank you.”
It would be recalled that WAEC had on July 29, 2020, extended its registration for private candidates to August 28, 2020, this latest extension is coming on the backdrop of the recent civil unrest in the country, which had disrupted academic calendar and plans, and also forced examination bodies to postponed ongoing and forthcoming examinations
