Daura Poly: Gov. Masari Seeks for Quick Start

The management of the newly established federal polytechnic, Daura, in katsina state has been urged, to put in effort for the take off of the institution.

This declaration was made by the governor of katsina state, Aminu Bello Masari.

Masari, who was speaking on Wednesday, while receiving the new management of the institution led by Senator Alhaji Ahmed Babba Kaita, representing Kastina North Senatorial District, and the Rector, Associate Professor, Aliyu Mamman at Government House, Masari also emphasized that, the new institution would have an important role to play in delivering qualitative education to the newly admitted student, while also giving directives that temporary housing and structures should be provided as offices for easy take off of the polytechnic.

Senator Alhaji Ahmed Babba Kaita, representing katsina North Senatorial District informed Governor Masari that the new management staff has been presented with letters by the federal ministry of education.

The Rector of the institution, Associate Professor Aliyu Mamman expressed gratitude to the governor for the establishment of the institution.

Katsina State currently has seven institutions that are running degree programmes, they are; Umaru Musa Yar’adua University;National Open University (NOU); Federal College of Education(FCE); Federal University Dutsin-Ma(FUDMA); Isa Kaita College of Education(IKCOE); Cherish Enterprise Institute and Al-qalam University Katsina.
