The Lagos State Government has given the approval for the resumption of all classes in both public and private schools.
The State government announced all schools are to resume on Monday, October 19, 2020.
The resumption for the 2020/2021 academic session will include pupils in Pre-primary-daycare, Kindergaten and Nursery schools.
Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, Commissioner of Education, made the announcement on Monday.
She disclosed that the decision was taken after careful deliberations and consultations with relevant stakeholders including safety professionals and nursery schools providers.
She also, advised schools to put safety first, by abiding to the COVID-19 protocols and hygiene guidelines.
The commissioner urged schools management to ensure that that they are cleared by the office of Education Quality Assurance before the resumption.
It would be recalled that the Lagos State Government had earlier confirmed that only current JSS3 and SS2 students, will resume schools on September 21.
